Hartford College News
Holding Statement: Hartford College
Hartford College at Daceyville will conclude operations at the end of this year, following a decision of the Hartford College Board.
The decision was not reached quickly or lightly. The Board considered all available options for Hartford’s future before determining that this was the most appropriate path forward. The College’s focus now is on providing continuity for students and supporting families and staff through the transition.
Hartford College is working closely with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) to support Hartford students, families and staff. SCS has committed to offering all Hartford students a place at a SCS school in 2027.
More detailed information will be provided directly to families and staff in the coming days.
Through the transition, Hartford hopes the distinctive contribution of its students, families and staff will become part of the wider Sydney Catholic Schools community, strengthening Catholic education across the Archdiocese.
Hartford College was founded on a commitment to classical education, forming the whole child through a curriculum grounded in the pursuit of truth, goodness and beauty. That commitment does not end with the conclusion of operations at Daceyville.
Options for continuing Hartford College’s distinctive model of classical education and academic excellence, reflected in its outstanding 2026 NAPLAN results, will be explored. Further information will be shared as opportunities arise.
